building a monster recording pc

the new PC is built… well we might have to download a driver here or there, but she’s up & running & she is a beast!! so powerful & fast!!!! no more hey add a bit of reverb to that track… then wait 30seconds to see if that sounds better or worse. so now a new mic or 2, a new amp for dave & we’re ready for the real work to begin. also since we need to pay for all this stuff we will soon begin auctioning off provocative pictures of Larry Love (no frontal… for now we’re keeping it classy). anybody want to start the bidding??

after a lot of debate & research… we got the allen & heath zed-r16. mostly cause the great sounding preamps!!! from now on all the noise on our recordings will be on purpose. special thanks to Mike @ guitarcenter raleigh for an incredible hookup… if i told you what we paid you wouldn’t believe it. now i just need to write a pop song to pay for some more upgrades.

our friend Marty captured some great video footage of the blister performance @ Scumfest ’11. hopefully we can clean the audio up & throw up some quick & dirty videos. if not i’ll be using that footage to make regular vidz… either way, stay tuned for the results.
